Desert love

In the desert city: Agraba the joy was on the highs, fertility's day was the day where the rain time sat in, where new life will begin again or new love would be found.

A young man sat on a wall and played on his beloved instrument, he always love theses days; all the joy and music in this happy time.

Back when he just was a little kid, he never really understand why all the grownups look so much forward to this festival; but now he did. it had been long time ago since he last was to this party and he gotta to admit; he had really miss it.
The young man look up from his sitar and his blue-sea eyes shined of the same happiness all the other also felt, even they had no idea why he suddenly love this day.

Two little girls sat beside him even one of them should absolutely shake his hair, always make it look like a mess

"aw Jasmi, stop it" he complained laughing at his little sister and hers twin laugh at them

"what´s up spiky?!"

he got his hair wild of those two down and smiled to the other "I´m not spiky, I´m Myde silly."

Jasmi giggled and hers sister did it too of the little nickname, she poke his nose "I´m not silly, I´m Balina!"

Myde couldn´t help by laugh of his two younger siblings, they had really missed him. Myde couldn´t ask for more, he had everything his heart had wished. Myde was not long time ago come back from a cold and brutal life; as a Nobody.

Back then he was known as Demyx number Nine in organization 13, he remain a lot like Myde, just at his skin was far lighter but they are both big cowards.
His two sisters didn´t think he was a coward, but they was neither very old when the heartless took him.

"Myde, what´s on your mind?" asked Balina suddenly, they most have seen he was a other place, no wonder…

"I´m fine, hey! Let´s find Iris" he suggested and the twins cheered happy, they went over to the markedplace where the (after his own meaning) most beautiful girl stood. Jasmi called to the girl and Iris saw them and smiled "hi Myde"

Myde smiled back and tried to sound cool "hi, um… what´s up?"
Iris giggle and look up in the sky "nothing up, but I see lots of life down here"
big fail! Next time: don´t listen to Axel. "um I mean, uh…"

he sighted and tried again before he make more fool out of himself "I trying buy a gift to my sisters"

"oh! Can I help?"

he nodded with a smile, they walk through the marked while he tried to explain at he was looking for something special to them. "well in that case, you are in the wrong place" she said and added when he stared confused "you are special, and cute too"

now was Myde glad for he no longer was pale as Demyx for his head felt really hot, he had always a strange feeling around her and he wish to give her something special too.

"they see me every day…"

"but they still love you, even after all those years"

Myde felt a little but still painful sadness in his chest, why was he so stupid?!
He should have fight instead froze when the heartless attacked him, what a big brother he was… Iris stopped and gave him a quick hug "you find on something. Good luck" she went back to hers dads shop, Myde waved after her and took his two sisters to the only place he could come up with.


Some way away from the city were a little oases, Jasmi and Balina love it too Mydes surprise and jump immediately in the cold and fresh water, Myde sat under a palm and watch them with a smile on his lips.

"this is so cool!" cheered Jasmi and Balina said "you´re the best bro!"

Myde grinned and thanked them for the sweet compliment, while they play in the water played Myde in his sitar.

He stopped when Jasmi suddenly said a little scared "Myde, there is a scary man with a ugly scar over there"
he rose up and look behind him, yes there stood a older man with black hair,eye path and a scar on the cheek and Myde only knew one who had that appearance.

He turn back to his sisters "I think I know that guy"
they both relaxed and began again play in the water, Myde ran over to the man and jelled "Xiggy!" the man recognize the name and look at Myde ran up to him,

"I never thought see you again!" Xigbars somebody raise a eyebrow, "um… do I know you?"
Myde fall a little together, disappointed. But he stood quickly up again when Xigbas complete being began to laugh out loud "oh man I didn´t recognize you! What´s up Demyx?"

"beside from get my old life back?" reply Myde with a grin and Xigbar smirked "hehe seems like you got the babysitter job"

Myde turn his head back to his siblings, no he wasn´t babysitting them rather have fun with them. Xigbar laugh of the news at Myde was their big brother
"no wonder why you was so dam childish in the organization!"

Myde laugh too and they got on a friendly talk, he got told of Xigbars somebody was a soldier; witch suited him a lot! But in their friendly talk change Xigbars face more serious, Myde stopped and asked what´s wrong?

Xigbar sighted "sorry kid, but don´t take this personally"
Myde eyes wide of what he said and even more when Jasmi cried after him, he turn quickly around seeing a masked boy hold both of his dear sister!

"no!"
he ran back to them, not thinking of save his own skin "leave them alone!" Xigbar ran after him and before Myde could get close he stopped him "you should rather run, you can´t beat him"

Myde stopped and look both sad and angry at him. He could turn around and save his own life, their parents will surly understand it but…

"I have only three words to you Xiggy"

Xigbar and the masked boy look at him a little more interesting but not like they felt he was dangerous, Myde took his sitar and shouted

"Dance water dance!!"

the water in the small lake obeyed his command and splashed right into Xigbar and the masked boy who released the two girls, the masked boy was quickly on his feet again. Myde stood ready for combat with the water around him, Jasmi and Balina ran behind him and he gave them order to hide, they nodded and ran.

The masked boy took his weapon and jump into battle, Braig sat up still wet after the last water attack

"what in the world?" he asked himself when he saw Myde fight against Vanitas.
He had seen Demyx fight but it was always half hearted (if you could call it that) maybe because he never saw a reason to fight, but now he saw Demyx somebody fight like a real soldier.

The young musician throw water after Vanitas in such a speed and strength at Vanitas sometimes was force to back away.
Myde had still the power over water like Demyx had even he not could create it anymore, so he was force to have water around him.

Vanitas saw it and cut Myde away from the water "now you die"

Myde gulped, his heart beat like crazy in his chest. He need water to fight, but the water was too far away from him

think Myde think! Of he kill you and them

then he got it! It was his only change so Myde used the water from his own body and shoot a bullet of water direct into Vanitas guts and the boy fall groaned down of the blow, Myde ran again over to the water and throw a flock of water balls after the masked boy who was force to flee.

Myde stopped and the water fall on the ground, Jasmi and Balina ran over to him "you beat him!"
he smiled a little weak, that battle have really take his strength.

Xigbar clapped in his hand, Jasmi and Balina quickly hide behind their older brother, Myde look just weak up at him

"if you want to kill me so do it now…"

Xigbar walk with a smirk over to him, both Belina and Jasmi stood now in front of Myde and cried at he couldn´t do it

"please! Don´t do it" cried Jasmi and Balina hugged Myde tight "we won´t let you!"

Xigbar ignored them and stood now face to face with Myde who just look calm at him, with no fear in his eyes, he push the twins behind him again

"I´m done running"

Xigbar nodded "I can see…"

the older man scratch his neck and added more serious "I never expected seen you fight like this, I always thought you will run"

"not if my family is in danger"

both Jasmi and Balina look scared at Xigbar, Myde could feel they shake of fear what would happen to them. Xigbar removed his gun away while he said "you have my respect kid"

Myde smiled and nodded back as a thanks "just don´t hurt them again kay Xiggy?"

Xigbar sat his hand on Myde shoulder with a big grin "the name´s Braig, don´t worry; I won´t hurt them"

"thanks… Braig, I´m Myde now"

Braig laugh out loud "why I´m not surprise? A cute name to a cute boy"
Myde laugh but stopped when he saw a Braig skin was become a little red

"better get in the shadows, your skin is not used to the sun"

Braig nodded, he gave his hand and Myde took it "then goodbye friend"

"bye, come and visit us when you not out for a kill"

Braig grinned and left by it "as if, have a good Valentine"

Myde grinned and walk back home, even his two siblings who keep asking who that man was and where he lean control water. Myde told them at a wizard lean him the water power, Jasmi and Balina was not very old so they believed him.


The great festival began and Myde tried a invite Iris with him, he want to sound cool but it was a big fail.

Iris giggled and took his hand "of course I will go with you to the festival" Myde smiled and they went together to the party, they danced together and suddenly asked Iris "what is Valentine?"

"huh? Why do you ask?" asked Myde a little confused over the question, it was Jasmi who had asked but Iris had never heard about it

"oh it´s like our fertility's day, just more with the love"
Xigbar had told Demyx about it.


Xigbar and Demyx walk through the street where Demyx saw a man give his girlfriend a gift and a kiss "what are they doing?"

Xigbar stopped and saw it too, he grinned "hehe seems like it´s Valentine's day today"

"what is Valentine?"

Xigbar laugh like Demyx question was a big joke
"what? didn´t your homeworld not have Valentine?"

Demyx shook his head, Xigbar smirked "oh well, valentine is a day where those who love each other show it"

Demyx look back at the couple "oh a love day huh? Sound like my- nevermind" Xigbar grinned and they went further on their mission.


Myde was knock out from his flashback when Iris thought out loud "it seems like the rain can arrive every second now"

he too look up at the dark sky but the water didn't come, Iris sighted
"oh well, maybe tomorrow"

Myde smiled he said so only she would hear it "I can make the rain come"
Iris giggled; she didn´t believe him, Myde took his hand up and when he took it down the rain fall.

Iris look up at the raining sky and back at Myde with a surprise look "was it… you?"

"a little, I asked the water to fall" Iris hugged him tight, Myde could feel his face become red and was glad his brown skin hide it.

He hugged back "glad you like it" Iris turn hers dark blue eyes to him and smiled

"it´s not the rain I´m glad for"

he raise a eyebrow but it turn to a surprised look when Iris kissed him and wisped "your love is the best gift, I love you Myde"

he kissed gentle back "me too, happy Valentine day"
Iris giggled and they danced in the rain.
